Abstract

يتناول البحث بالدراسة اللغة العامية وكيفية ترجمتها من الأدب الفرنسي إلى العربية. ولأن هذه اللغة التي تضمنتها رائعة البؤساء Les Misérables لمؤلفها فيكتور هيجوVictor Hugo تعد ظاهرة اجتماعية وجزءا لا يتجزأ من الثقافة الفرنسية، يتساءل البحث عن الكيفية التي نقل بها منير البعلبكي العامية في الرواية السالفة الذكر، من خلال استقصاء أهم الصعوبات التي واجهت المترجم أثناء نقل مفردات العامية وعباراتها وإلى الوقوف على التقنيات والآليات التي لجأ إليها المترجم لنقل هذا المستوى من اللغة، ومدى قدرتها على الحفاظ على أبعادها الدلالية وحمولتها الثقافية. وقد خلص البحث إلى أن ترجمة العامية، رغم نجاح المترجم في نقل المعنى العام للنص، تشكل تحديا كبيرا وتؤدي أحيانا إلى فقد الأبعاد الاجتماعية والأسلوبية للنص، وبخاصة أمام هيمنة اللغة العربية المعيارية التي لا تمتلك لغة عامية موحدة، وأن هذه اللغة تبدي مقاومة شديدة عند ترجمتها. Abstract This research examines dialect and its translation from French into Arabic. As this linguistic variety, prominently featured in Les Misérables, constitutes both a social phenomenon and an integral component of French culture, the study investigates how Mounir Al-Ba’albakki renders dialect in the aforementioned novel. Particular attention is given to the text’s precise social function, as it reflects the specificities of the oppressed classes in France during the nineteenth century. The analysis focuses on the difficulties encountered in translating such language and the techniques employed to overcome them. The findings indicate that the rendition of dialect poses a significant challenge and often results in the loss of the text’s social and stylistic dimensions, especially in light of the dominance of Standard Arabic, alongside which no unified dialectal equivalent exists.
