Item Usages De L’intelligence Artificielle Générative Dans L’appropriation Des Concepts Linguistiques Et Phonétiques : Enjeux D’équité Linguistique Chez Les étudiants De Première Année De Licence De Français(Revue algérienne des sciences du langage (RADSL), 2026-06-10) Saâdi Khadidja; Righi Chakib LiasCette étude examine le rôle de l’intelligence artificielle générative dans l’appropriation des concepts linguistiques et phonétiques par les étudiants de première année de licence de français dans un contexte universitaire plurilingue. L’analyse s’appuie sur un cadre théorique croisant les travaux sur l’intelligence artificielle en éducation (Holmes et al., 2022 ; Zawacki-Richter et al., 2019) et les approches sociolinguistiques du plurilinguisme et du translanguaging (García & Wei, 2014). Sur le plan méthodologique, la recherche adopte une approche qualitative exploratoire fondée sur des entretiens réalisés auprès de 38 étudiants de première année à l’Université de Saïda, Dr Moulay Tahar pendant l’année universitaire : 2025-2026. Les données ont été analysées à partir d’une analyse thématique visant à identifier les difficultés d’apprentissage et les usages des outils d’intelligence artificielle. Les résultats montrent que 23 étudiants sur 38 rencontrent des difficultés dans la compréhension de notions théoriques en linguistique (structuralisme, distributionnalisme, langue/parole, signe linguistique) ainsi que dans les exercices de transcription phonétique. Face à ces obstacles, les étudiants mobilisent des outils d’intelligence artificielle générative, notamment ChatGPT et Gemini, pour obtenir des reformulations simplifiées, des exemples, des résumés de cours et des traductions de termes spécialisés. L’analyse révèle que ces usages favorisent la clarification des concepts, soutiennent la motivation et facilitent l’accès aux savoirs. Toutefois, leur efficacité reste conditionnée par l’engagement des étudiants et la pratique régulière des exercices disciplinaires. L’étude souligne ainsi le rôle complémentaire de l’intelligence artificielle dans l’apprentissage universitaire plurilingue. The acquisition of fundamental concepts in linguistics and phonetics represents a major challenge for first-year French undergraduate students, particularly in plurilingual contexts where multiple languages coexist. This exploratory study, conducted with 38 students at Université of Saida Dr Moulay Tahar, (2025–2026 cohort), examines the difficulties encountered in understanding abstract concepts such as structuralism, distributionalism, the distinction between language and speech, the linguistic sign and its properties, as well as practical skills in phonetic transcription. Data collected through exploratory interviews indicate that 23 students face specific challenges, including confusion between interdependent notions and a loss of motivation due to the complexity of the program. To overcome these obstacles, students employ generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, mainly ChatGPT and Gemini, to obtain simplified explanations, concrete examples, course summaries, and translations. These uses facilitate comprehension of complex concepts, enhance memorization, and strengthen learner motivation. However, the study highlights that the effectiveness of these tools depends on students’ engagement and regular practice, particularly for phonetic transcription exercises.
