considering the knowledge treasures it encompasses. One of these institutions is the Supreme
Council of the Arabic language seen as one of the pioneering institutions in Algeria in scaffolding

it in light of the guidelines of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions
(IFLA) in its 2014 edition for digitizing rare books and manuscripts. The study identifies the
objectives and stages of the project, in addition to the procedures followed as well as the exploited
resources, then the evaluation of the project. The study conclusion showed that this project is
considered successful to a considerable extent, due to its respect for the methodological and
scientific conditions, to the appropriate environment as well as the availability of material
capabilities, efficient and qualified human resources.
