Résumé:
Literary translation is a completely different kind from other types of translation such as
legal, economic, scientific, technical translation, etc.... in terms of quality and quantity.
Quality compared to the professionalism that some translators acquire over the years by
specializing in this kind of translation. Quantity, insofar as the number of works they
translate is constantly increasing. Hundreds or more are sometimes translated by the same
translator. Knowing that this is a very complex and restrictive operation, it is a question of
knowing what are the requirements to achieve a good translation? Currently several
approaches are adopted, they call on different methods, so our problematic is focused on the
nature of the new theories and their impact on the practice of literary translation.
